Well Inspections
Is your water pressure low?

What a Well Inspection Includes:

  • A water flow test, to check output and performance
  • Well parts and equiment are up to code
  • Electrical and valve testing
  • Water quality testing for coliform bacteria, nitrates, and more
  • Tests for cloudy or other problem water, as needed
  • You will get a report explaining your well’s condition

Possible causes of low water pressure include a poor aquifer (the area below ground where water flows between rocks), low water level, or an encrusted well pump or screen. Improper placement and depth of a well can cause a slower flow of water. If low water pressure has been a problem for a while then you may need a deeper well. If your water pressure problem started recently, your system probably needs to be cleaned and inspected for leaks and assessed for repairs.

Annual Well Inspections
Water wells should be inspected annually for water quality and performance. These yearly checks can reveal mechanical issues before they become a problem. This will save you money in the long run by keeping your well in working condition longer. The National Ground Water Association recommend annual inspections especially for industrial and agricultural wells.
